The BFF

These two have been inseparable for the past 3 years.  It's hard to remember a time when they are not together.  They get along so well.  I love watching them grow and change all the time.  It's hard to believe Hae will be in middle school next year.  They are growing way too fast.

This one is beautiful.  It's so hard to get them when they aren't laughing and goofing off.

Platinum Meet

So Maddie took a little break and then started at a new gym.  She was going to compete any meets, but we decided to do just one.  It was Saturday and she did good.  You could tell she was a little rusty, but she tried her best and that's all that mattered.  She will get better.  Now she will move on to optional's and will get new floor music and new routines.   We love the new gym and yes, she and Haedyn are still together.

Tennis

Maddie decided she wanted to take a break from gymnastics.  I don't know if it will be a permanent break or a mini break.  Part of me is sad and part of me is happy.  She was a beautiful gymnast when she competed.  She looked so good on beam and floor.  I'm sad that she won't compete again.  The happy part is the savings and not going to the gym 4 days a week :).  I know she reads this and I just want to say that I was glad to do it because I know she enjoyed it.  I know she was getting tired of going and I don't blame.
She decided she wanted to try tennis and so far she loves it!  Her instructor is so awesome.  Last night was her first lesson and they work on forehand, backhand, volley and serving.  Maddie picked it right up.  She was a little nervous and shy at first, but at the end her competitive nature was kicking in.  I loved watching it and can't wait to watch her more.

Change is coming

Change is coming..... it will be a good change.  She is still doing gymnastics, but I'm not ready to say what the change is yet.  We are very excited about it.  She will definitely be training for level 7. 

Color Run

We did the Color Run on 10/5 and had so much fun.  I walked it and Maddie ran/jogged/walked it.  We will definitely do this one again.  Maddie wants to do the Glow Run.  That sounds like fun.  Team Smoochie rocked it.

Score out meet

Well Meet Maddie showed up today in a big way.  She rocked vault with a 9.0, nailed beam with a 9.1, finished strong on floor with an 8.675 but bars was most impressive.  She has not her clear hip at all.  Never.  Never during practice, never.  Well she did it during warm ups.  It wasn't pretty, but she did it.  I thought surely she wouldn't do it during the meet, but she did.  Again it wasn't pretty and wouldn't score her a 9, but she attempted it and that's all she needed.  She got a 7.1 on bars.  She only needed a 31 to score out and ended the meet with a 33.875.  Yay!  No more compulsories.  She's moving on up to optionals.  Glad that's over with.
